Sometimes Calendar, Pappu Pager and sometimes Muthu Swamy and Chanda Mama on the film screen. Actor-director Satish Kaushik, who has enthralled the audience with comedy, did not fulfill his dream of shooting again in Agra.

In 2003, he came to Agra for the shooting of Salman Khan’s film Tere Naam, where he shot several scenes of the film at Hathi Ghat along with Mehtab Bagh, St. John’s College, Agra College and Agra Fort station. He wanted to shoot the sequel of this film and another film in Agra next year, but his dream remained unfulfilled. There was a wave of mourning among the artists of Agra on the news of his death on Thursday.

Satish Kaushik, who has shown his brilliance on the film screen through the medium of actor and director behind him, has come to Agra twice. Once he had come to shoot for the film Tere Naam starring star actors Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla. On 7 and 8 March 2003, he shot scenes with Salman Khan and his friends at Agra Fort station. Only then behind the Taj Mahal, the temple complex adjacent to Mahtab Bagh and the scenes of St. John’s College along with Hatighat were captured in the camera. He also came to Agra in the year 2002 before the shooting of the film Badhaai Ho Badhaai. He had met Pramod Rana, who was then the line producer, and had seen many shooting locations in Agra.

Pramod Rana says that he met Satish Kaushik recently at the airport on 14th January. He was planning to shoot his upcoming film in Agra next year. According to the story, he had also asked for some location information. He was an excellent actor and an artist with amazing humor. He was well versed in making simple dialogues memorable.

Journalist Sajjan Sagar tells that during the shooting of Tere Naam, he took out time from the shooting and talked to them with utmost simplicity and familiarity. He shot many scenes of the film and along with Agra College, he also went to St. John’s to see the location. The meeting with him 20 years ago is still fresh in his mind.
