Earlier, Bhagwat was met by a group of Muslim intellectuals including former Chief Election Commissioner SY Qureshi and former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb Jung. In this meeting, along with Mohan Bhagwat, there is also Sangh Pracharak Indresh Kumar.

met two days ago

Let us tell you that two days ago, former Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Lt Gen (Retd) Zamiruddin Shah, former MP Shahid Siddiqui, and philanthropist Saeed Sherwani were also present in the meeting held at the temporary office of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). During the two-hour long meeting, there were extensive discussions on strengthening communal harmony and improving inter-community relations.

Earlier, Maulana Arshad Madani, leader of Jamiat-Ulema-e-Hind, an organization of Muslims, also met Mohan Bhagwat on 30 August 2019 after reaching the Sangh headquarters in Jhandewalan, Delhi. This meeting, which took place on the initiative of Muslim Rashtriya Manch leader Indresh Kumar, was also discussed a lot. This meeting of the two top leaders was considered very important from the point of view of maintaining peace in both the communities after the verdict came before the Supreme Court’s decision on the Ram temple in Ayodhya (9 November 2019).

Can also meet Kashmiri leaders

According to media reports, Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat may also meet some Muslim leaders of Kashmir in the coming days. This is considered necessary from the point of view of maintaining peace in the Valley after the resumption of electoral politics in Kashmir.
