Palghar: A horrific road accident has taken place on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway in Palghar district of Maharashtra. A car hit a truck here on Sunday. Three people, including an infant, died in the accident, while four others were injured. An officer gave this information.
Seven members of a family were going from Mumbai to Bhilad in Gujarat’s Valsad district in a car when the accident took place around 12.45 am near a temple in Kasa police station area, the official said.

“The deceased have been identified as Narottam Rathod (65), his son Ketan Rathod (32), one-year-old child RV Rathod,” Palghar police spokesperson Sachin Nawadkar told PTI. The injured have been identified as Dipesh Rathod (35), Tejal Rathod (32), Madhu Rathod (58) and two-and-a-half-year-old girl Snehal Rathod, who was driving the car.
Those injured in the accident have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Giving information, a police spokesperson said that no case has been registered so far in connection with the road accident, as the police have not recorded the statements of the injured due to their medical condition.(with language input)
