Celebrating the 74th Republic Day with great enthusiasm, the residents of the district remembered the immortal legends and the martyred soldiers. The national tricolor was hoisted in every government office. Marchpasts, rallies, cultural-sports competitions steeped in nationalism were organized in schools and colleges. Hathras District Magistrate Archana Verma hoisted the flag on the 74th Republic Day in the Collectorate premises, after which all the officers and employees were administered the pledge of the Preamble of the Constitution.
We the people of India, to India…..
On Republic Day, everyone took a pledge to read the Preamble of the Constitution. We the people of India, to make India a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic republic, to secure to all its citizens social, economic and political justice, freedom of thought, expression, belief, religion and worship, equality of status and opportunity Resolved again to achieve and promote among them all a fraternity that ensures the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the nation, we in this assembly hereby adopt, enact and dedicate to ourselves the Constitution. After that pigeons symbolizing peace were flown in the air.
DM Archana Verma said that India is the largest republic of the world and every countryman is proud of it. Unite and take a pledge to maintain the unity and integrity of the country, so that our country can achieve rapid progress. Additional District Magistrate Justice Moinul Islam said that after gaining independence, the country has achieved great achievements in various fields, for which all the countrymen are proud.
Martyr’s family honored
In the Kargil War, Sunita Devi, wife of Martyr Sepoy Gajpal Singh, Reema Begum, wife of Martyr Grenadier Hasan Ali Khan, Dharamveer Singh, brother of Martyr Sepoy Satyaveer Singh, Rajendra Singh, father of Martyr Sepoy Munendra Singh Thenua and Seema Rani, wife of Martyr Grenadier Sandeep, were honored.
Additional District Magistrate Finance Dr. Basant Agarwal, Officer-in-Charge Collectorate Manoj Kumar Singh, Officer-in-Charge Collectorate Shiv Singh, Additional District Information Officer Pradeep Kumar, Steno Sheelendra Kumar etc. were present at the Republic Day function.
