New Delhi : The Supreme Court was informed by the Central Government on Thursday that the process of declaring Ramsetula as a National Heritage Site is underway. Former Rajya Sabha MP Subrahmanyam Swamy filed a petition in this matter and it was heard by Chief Justice Dhananjay Chandrachud and Justice. J. B. Pardiwala in front of the bench.
‘Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has said that the process for declaring Ramsetula as National Heritage Site is underway by the present Ministry of Culture. If the petitioner has anything more to say in this regard, he can submit a request to the government’, the bench said. Or the Supreme Court gave instructions to decide on the subject. Also, if Swamy is not satisfied with the Central Government’s clarification, he was given the opportunity to file a petition again and asked to withdraw it. On that, ‘I didn’t get any gift from anyone about this. We are on the same side. This is the issue in our manifesto. Give them six weeks or how to decide. Me punha yein’, said Swami.
