Hrishikesh Kanitkar has been made the new head coach of the Indian Women’sl Cricket Team. Kanitkar will lead the Indian women’s team in the next series against Australia. Apart from them, according to the information released by the BCCI, former Indian Women’s Cricket Team head coach Ramesh Powar and VVS Laxman will go to NCA and serve for the Indian Men’s Cricket Team.

Regarding this responsibility given by the BCCI, Hrishikesh Kanitkar said, “It is a great honor for me to be associated with the senior women’s team India as the head coach. I see great potential in this team. Because, the team has a good combination of young players with experienced players. I believe that the Senior Women’s Cricket Team is fully prepared for the challenges. We will be playing some great tournaments soon and it will be an exciting time for our team and me.”

Former women’s team head coach Ramesh Powar said, “It has been a great experience taking on the role of head coach with the women’s senior team. I have worked with some of the best and upcoming talents over the years. I would also like to take new talents to NCA further with my experience. I am delighted to work closely with VVS Laxman to enhance our game and bench strength.”
On this occasion, VVS Laxman said, “With Ramesh Powar coming to NCA as spin bowler coach, his experience will surely come in handy. Will play a great role after working in ‘Age Gry Cricket’ and International Circuit. I am looking forward to working with him at NCA.”
