Meanwhile, information about Raju’s postmortem also came out from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Postmortem done with new technology

Raju Srivastava, 58, passed away on Wednesday after being hospitalized for more than 40 days. Head of AIIMS Forensic Department Dr. Sudhir Gupta said on Wednesday that the post-mortem of Raju Srivastava has been done using a new technique ‘Virtual Autopsy’. Gupta said the ‘virtual autopsy’ is performed with the help of hi-tech digital X-rays and CT scans and takes less time than the traditional post-mortem.

Why did the postmortem have to be done?

When asked why post-mortem had to be done in this case? Dr. Sudhir Gupta said, ‘Initially when he was brought to AIIMS, he was not in his senses and it was not clear that he fell while running on the ‘treadmill’. That is why the post-mortem had to be done. Let us tell you that on Wednesday (September 21), Raju breathed his last at around 10.15 am and said goodbye to the world forever. Raju Srivastava’s last rites will be performed in Delhi on Thursday (September 22).

Raju also worked as an actor

It is worth noting that Raju Srivastava was active in the entertainment industry since the late 1980s, although he got household recognition from the first season of ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. Raju Srivastava also acted in ‘Maine Pyaar Kiya’, ‘Baazigar’, ‘Bobbe to Goa’ and ‘Amadani Athani Kharkha Rupaiya’. While Raju Srivastava also participated in ‘Bigg Boss’ season three. Raju had earned a name for himself in the world of comedy and won love from house to house.
