Satish Kumar has been made General Manager of North Central Railway (NCR). Satish Kumar was currently posted in North Western Railway, Jaipur as Senior Deputy General Manager. In a day or two, he will come to Prayagraj and assume his post.

On the other hand, Pramod Kumar, who was General Manager in NCR, has been made General Manager of Central Railway Electrification Organization (CORE) in Prayagraj itself. The post of General Manager in the Corps was lying vacant since 31 March 22 after the retirement of Yashwant Singh. There Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Arun Kumar was holding the additional charge of General Manager for the last seven months.

At present, the Corps has got a permanent General Manager in the form of Pramod Kumar. On the other hand, the new General Manager of NCR, Satish Kumar, is a 1986 batch officer of the Indian Railway Mechanical Engineering Service. He has had a relationship with Prayagraj even before. He has visited Prayagraj several times as DRM Lucknow. During his tenure, Prayagraj Sangam railway station developed as a terminal.

For the first time, eight railway officers became GM
Let us inform that on Monday itself, in a letter issued by Amit Srivastava, Under Secretary to the Government of India, a letter was issued to make eight senior railway officers GM. In this letter, the list of new GMs in ten zonal railways was released. Of these ten, two GMs were transferred, while eight rose to the position for the first time. In this list, Ashok Kumar Tripathi, GM of North Eastern Railway, who has also been ADRM Prayagraj in the past, has now been made GM of Western Railway, Mumbai.

CP Gupta on Monday assumed charge as Additional General Manager in North Central Railway (NCR). Prior to this, he was posted as Principal Chief Engineer in North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur. CP Gupta is a 1986 batch IRSE. He joined the Indian Railways in June 1988. He has worked in various important positions in the Railways.

He has experience of working in DRM Katihar, Chief Project Manager in DFCCIL etc. He has also worked in Prayagraj Division as Senior Divisional Engineer etc. He has done PG in Civil Engineering from HBTI, Kanpur and Geotechnical Engineering from IIT Delhi. He has attended the Executive Leadership Program in Italy, six training sessions in Austria and technology exchange sessions in Japan.
