In the coming time, corruption will be exposed from satellite images. Those hiding the figures of big projects like bridge, highway construction will be caught red handed. All this will be possible with the use of space technology. With a pinch, it will be known what report has been given on paper, while what is the situation on the spot.

ISRO scientist Dr. Murthy Ramilla, who came to the Department of Physics of Allahabad University on Wednesday, told that space technology is developing rapidly. In the coming times, its use in daily life will be promoted. Work has already started on this in the field of agriculture. Satellite imagery system is being used to find out how much wheat crop has been planted in the country and what will be the estimated production.

Satellite image will also prove to be helpful for controlling natural calamities like floods. If the government wants, the satellite image can also be used for illegal mining, rapid encroachment on the banks of rivers, control of pollution etc. The local administration can also do a better job with its help. Space application centers have been set up in most of the states, from where the local administration can obtain necessary information and data.

Satellite images have been recorded since 1980. From this it can be found that how many trees were there in an area ten years ago and what percentage of trees are left now. In future, satellite imagery system will play an important role in the direction of water conservation along with the environment. There are many such states in South India, where satellite images give information to fishermen about which part of the river has more fish. This has greatly improved the economic condition of the fishermen.

At the same time, satellite image can also be very helpful in traffic control. With this, the accident zones can also be identified and necessary corrections can be made there. On this basis, hospitals can also be established at appropriate places. Convenor of the program Prof. KN Uttam of the Department of Physics of the University expressed his gratitude to Dr. Murthy for coming to the university.
