On Saturday, Urban Development Minister Arvind Sharma reviewed the preparations for setting up Magh Mela as a rehearsal of Mahakumbh through video conferencing. For the first time, along with the establishment of a tent city at the Magh Mela, information was given to make a 500-bed dormitory for saints and devotees. Apart from this, water sports at Sangam, plans to focus on cleanliness under Swachh Bharat Mission were discussed in detail.

The Urban Development Minister reviewed department-wise preparations through video conferencing. Officials said that apart from pontoon bridges, checkered plate roads, works related to electrification, drinking water, medical and sanitation arrangements would be completed by the date fixed by CM Yogi Adityanath by December 20. During this, for the first time in the fair, the minister was informed about the arrangements made for the rehearsal of Kumbh.

In this, along with the construction of a small tent city, construction of 500-bed dormitories, conducting water sports activities, showing the importance of Prayagraj and Kumbh through LCD, as well as deployment of a large number of Mela friends were discussed. The minister directed to get all the five sectors divided into zones and circles and get their mapping done and put up signboards of You Are Here at every intersection.

He also talked about doing micro planning in a scientific way. He also asked to make available pamphlets related to the route chart of the fair, detail information of sectors at most of the government counters. Apart from this, it was also talked about running messages related to the Swachh Bharat Mission campaign on the LCD screen in the Mela area, arranging water ATMs in the Mela area and making life jackets mandatory for the boatmen.

It was said that iTriplecy will be used for crowd management as well as for strengthening the traffic system. On this occasion, Principal Secretary, Principal Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijat, Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, Municipal Commissioner Chandramohan Gagai, Meladhikari Arvind Chauhan CMO Dr. Nanak Sharan were present.

Principal Secretary Urban Development Amrit Abhijat directed the officers to continue meeting all the big saints after allotment of land and solving their problems. Said that whether the facilities given to the saints and devotees have reached them or not, it will also be ascertained. Instructions were also given to make arrangements for greenery in the fair area through flower pots.
