The police will also deal strictly with those spreading rumours. On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kashi Zone, RS Gautam held a meeting with businessmen at a hotel in Dashashwamedh and talked about celebrating Shivratri in a cordial manner.

Deputy Commissioner of Police RS Gautam said that loudspeaker will not be used in loud sound. On the instructions of the court, sound amplifying devices will be used only in the prescribed decibels. No procession will be taken out without permission. While taking permission for this, instead of taking out the procession, an affidavit will also have to be given regarding the number of people participating in it. The officials also said that only traditional processions would be taken out. During this, Assistant Commissioner of Police Dashashwamedh Awadhesh Pandey, Police Station President Chowk, Dashashwamedh, Laksa as well as Devnathpura Councilor Chandranath Mukherjee, Dashashwamedh Vyapar Mandal President Suresh Tulsyan, people of Shiv Baraat Committee were involved.
