Nagpur, 17 children of Madan Gopal High School located on North Ambajhari Road of Sitabuldi were poisoned on Saturday morning. It is said that some unknown person had distributed chocolates to the children outside the school. After eating this, the health of the children deteriorated. All children are out of danger due to prompt treatment. On Saturdays, the school for the students of classes I to VII starts at 11.30 am. Some children come to school by school bus, some by their parents and some by themselves. Around 10.30 am, the children were going towards the school from near the metro station. Meanwhile, a person wearing a mask stopped the children by giving voice. Informed about his birthday and gave toffee to eat.
Seeing some children taking toffees, other children also went to them. Everyone ate toffee. During 11.10 am prayer started in the school ground. During this, 2 children fell down after getting dizzy. He started vomiting. Both the children and the teacher got scared. After this, other children also complained of vomiting and nausea. Seeing the deteriorating health of 17 children at the same time, the condition of the school management also worsened. First an ambulance was called by calling 108. Along with this, information was also given to the police. Immediately the police reached the spot and in their own vehicle took all the children to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Due to timely treatment, the condition of other children improved. The health of 3 children was a little worse. He is undergoing treatment in ICU. They will also be discharged after being kept under observation for 1 day. During interrogation, the children gave information about their health deteriorating after eating toffee. In fact the children were very nervous. Some said that the toffee giver was riding in a blue colored vehicle while some are talking about the vehicle being of black colour. Some told that he was wearing a mask.
The police also questioned the nearby security guards but no one saw the person distributing chocolates. The CCTV cameras installed at the intersection were also closely examined but black or blue colored vehicle was not visible. Now the police have registered a case under section 328 against the unknown accused.
