The leg of Pataudi (Babbar Sher) of the zoo has been injured by a piece of glass. A wound of about two inches has formed in the back of the left leg. There was a wound two days ago, but on Tuesday, when there was trouble in walking, the management came to know. At present, he has been treated and kept inside the enclosure. It will take about a month for the wound to heal, so for a month now visitors will not be able to see Pataudi in the zoo.

Babbar Sher Pataudi was injured by a piece of glass in Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Khan Zoological Park two days ago. Since the injury was fresh, he was not having trouble walking. That’s why the management didn’t even know. His injury was discovered after the wound had dried up.

In fact, when the management went to give food to Pataudi on Tuesday morning, he was walking limp inside the enclosure. The team gave the information by going to the veterinary hospital. Doctor Yogesh Pratap Singh came and saw him. While giving food, it was found that there was blood in the back leg. After giving medicine to Pataudi, he was examined and there was a deep wound in the left leg. On examination, it was found that the wound was about two inches.

Doctor Yogesh told that some spectator must have thrown a piece of glass inside the enclosure. Because Pataudi cannot be injured like this by a brick or a piece of stone. The enclosure was inspected, but the piece has not been found.

He appealed that people should not throw pieces of glass, plastic bottles, coins, bricks and stones inside the enclosure in a mischief, as it can injure wildlife. Now Pataudi will not be able to leave the enclosure for the next one month. Physical problems will be different from him.

Told that it is being shown from the CCTV footage that who threw what inside the enclosure, due to which Pataudi was injured. After investigation, legal action will be taken against the concerned under the Wildlife Act.

Management’s security also in question
When the zoo was open, there was a ban on bringing plastic and glass bottles, any sharp or sharp tools, pan masala from outside. But, after a few days the canteen was opened inside. It was opened for the convenience of the visitors, but the wildlife has to bear the brunt of it.

Sources said that a customer must have bought beverages or some glassware in a glass bottle from inside the canteen itself. After emptying it was thrown inside the enclosure, which fell inside and broke. Probably Pataudi would have been injured by this piece. However, it is still a matter of investigation that how did the piece of glass reach inside the enclosure?
