Nagpur. Hudkeshwar police raided 3 nylon manja vendors with the help of Wild Life Welfare Society. The police have seized 186 rounds of nylon manja. The arrested accused include Narsala resident Abhijit Bhonde, Adarshnagar, Sakkardara Riyaz Khan and Sainagar resident Manish Golhar. Citizens get injured due to nylon manja, birds suffer a lot, that’s why Wildlife Welfare Society has also started a campaign against those who sell nylon manja.
Organization officer Nitish Bhandakkar said that the members of the society, Akash Kashettiwar, Mrinal Bharan and Arpit Pohane, had received information that some kite vendors were selling nylon manja in the Hudkeshwar police station area. On Thursday, all three approached the shopkeepers posing as customers. The police was informed as soon as the nylon manja was found.
On checking the shops of the three accused, 186 pieces of nylon manja were seized. The auto in which the goods were kept by the accused was also seized. Sub-Inspector Pramod Khandar, Havildar Manoj Neware, Constables Vijay Sinha, Santosh Sontakke, Mangesh Madavi and Sumit Chowdhary took action under the guidance of DCP Vijaykant Sagar and Hudkeshwar SHO Lalit Vertikar.
