Nagpur. Last year, cattle market and transportation of cattle in the district was banned due to lumpy disease affecting cattle in the entire state. This also caused huge economic loss to the farmers. After the intensity of Lumpi reduced, the farmers demanded the removal of the ban from former minister Sunil Kedar. This ban was controlled in the district by vaccination of cattle. Even after the outbreak subsided, the government did not lift the ban imposed on the cattle market and transport.

Kedar held a meeting with District Magistrate Vipin Itankar in this context and after reviewing the entire situation, the District Magistrate issued an order to start cattle market and transport. Cattle herders and farmers have got relief after this order.

Kedar said that Savner, Katol, Mouda tehsils of the district are famous for the cattle market, but due to the closure of the market for a few months, the livestock farmers were in trouble. The District Magistrate was informed about the situation and considering the seriousness, he has given justice to the cattle herders.
