In Tirva Kotwali area of Kannauj district, the boy’s side refused to marry when the demand for dowry was not met. They are trying to break the relationship by telling that the number in the educational mark sheet of the girl is less. Distressed by this, the girl’s father has given a complaint to the police demanding action.
Prahlad, a resident of Udayapur village of Thana Indargarh area, said that he had fixed the marriage of his daughter Soni with Sonu, son of Ramshankar, a resident of Baganwa village of Thana Thathia area. After the marriage was fixed, the ceremony of baby shower was performed on December 4, 2022.
He had given 50 thousand rupees and a gold ring worth about 15 thousand rupees in the baby shower. Apart from this, 60 thousand rupees were spent in the ceremony. A few days after the baby shower, the people of the boy’s side raised the demand for dowry. When he refused, he is now talking of breaking the marriage by telling less number in the girl’s intermediate mark sheet.
