A new twist has come in the Banda gang rape case. Police claim that the woman was not gang-raped but molested. The victim has also refused to get her medical done. After investigation, the police registered a case under the sections of molestation and arrested both the accused.

On Saturday night at 10:30, the police received information about the gang-rape of the woman. SP Abhinandan, Additional SP Lakshmi Niwas Mishra, CO City Abunja Trivedi and the force of four police stations reached the spot and took the statement of the woman. The Scheduled Caste woman said that she was going to her in-laws house in Banda on a bike with her husband.

Three friends of the husband were found near Gureh village. The husband was drunk. The youths sent the husband to bring cigarettes from a nearby shop. As soon as the husband left, two youths raped her. When he could not do the third misdeed, he put the bottle in the delicate part. After this, leaving her unconscious, they fled.

When the SP got the incident thoroughly investigated, it turned out to be a case of molestation. When the police asked the woman to get medical, she refused. After this, the accused Puttan Aarkh and Babbu Aarkh have been arrested by registering a report under the SC/ST Act for molestation in the rural police station on the woman’s Tahrir.
