A double murder in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat on Wednesday morning stirred the area. Here a brother punished his married sister and her lover due to a love affair. The accused brother strangled the sister and thrashed her lover to death. On the information of the murder, the police reached the spot and sent the body to the mortuary for post-mortem. At the same time, the accused Mursaline was arrested by the police from the spot.
The murder was reported that Mursaleen had killed her real sister Mehjabeen and her friend Arif and had hidden the dead body somewhere. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took Mursaleen into custody and detailed interrogation was conducted after which he confessed to the murder. The dead body of Mehjabeen was recovered on the behest of Mursaleen. After this Arif’s body was also recovered from the forest. Investigation revealed that the lover couple had absconded last month, after which there was a lot of anger among the family members.
Mursleen hated both because of her sister’s closeness to Arif. When she did not agree even after persuading her, Mursaline along with other brothers Armaan, Muntazir and cousin Shahnawaz planned to kill both of them at her brother Moujammil’s house.
Under the plan, everyone together took Mehjabeen and Arif to Meerut, from where Mursaline brought both back to the village of Kandhla area. He first killed Arif at Moujammil’s house and hid the dead body. After this, sister reached Asara village with Mehjabeen and took her to the forest and killed her.
After killing both of them, Mursaleen went to his house. At 9 o’clock on Tuesday night, the Ramala police received information that Mursaleen of Asara village had killed her real sister and her friend Arif. On which the police station reached the spot and took Mursaleen into custody.
After interrogation, the police recovered both the bodies and sent them for post-mortem and brought the accused to the police station. During interrogation, the accused told that he had beaten Arif to death while strangling his sister.
