Priyanka Singh, a native of Jaunpur and posted in Chori Chora police station, died of dengue on Wednesday. He was admitted to the district hospital 3 days ago when his health deteriorated, where he was referred to Lucknow on Wednesday morning after his condition deteriorated.

On the way to Lucknow, Priyanka died on the way. Priyanka’s husband, a 2011 batch constable, is a pharmacist and lived in a rented room with her 3-year-old child and husband. SP North Manoj Awasthi has confirmed the death.

Let us inform that there have been about 200 dengue patients in Gorakhpur district so far. These do not include the list of AIIMS because the AIIMS administration has not provided the list of patients admitted and undergoing treatment in AIIMS. In such a situation, the officials of the Malaria Department will go to AIIMS and take the report.

District Malaria Officer Angad Kumar Singh told that Dr Arup Mohanty of Medicine at AIIMS has contacted. AIIMS doctor told that the report will be collected. A complete list of the patients who have been admitted so far will be made. Apart from this, a line list of those getting tested and positive patients will also be prepared. After getting the list, source reduction will be done around the house of the affected patients.
