London. A 35-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a British Sikh taxi driver in an attack in Wolverhampton, central England. Anakh Singh (59) was employed as a driver with a private taxi company at Nine Elms Lane in the city and was found critically injured in the line of duty, who later succumbed to his injuries.
West Midlands Police said Tomasz Margol has been charged with murder and appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court earlier this month. The post-mortem of the body was also conducted but the results were inconclusive.

Investigating Officer Michelle Thurgood, from the West Midlands Police Homicide Team, said: “We have kept Mr Singh’s family up to date on developments. The authorities wish to continue to support them (the family of the deceased) at this sad time.”
Following the tragic murder, an online campaign was launched with the aim of raising £2,000 to help Singh’s family. The ‘Just Giving’ fundraiser has so far passed its target raising over £11,000. (agency)
