Code of Conduct in Gram Panchayat Areas
Voting will be held on December 18, 2022, for the direct election of 53 members of seven gram panchayats as well as the posts of sarpanch of those gram panchayats. The code of conduct has been implemented in those respective places and the counting of votes will be done on December 20. Tehsildars will issue election notices on November 18 for the respective Gram Panchayats for the elections. Nomination papers will be filed from 28 November to 2 December. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on December 5. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers will be till 3 pm on December 7 and the election symbols will be distributed on the same day. Voting will be held on December 18 from 7.30 am to 5.30 pm. The counting of votes will be done on December 20 and the results of the election will be declared on the same day. Some villages of the tehsil are included in the upcoming Gram Panchayat elections, which are considered politically sensitive. That village is adjacent to Dhamangaon town of Tehsil. where general elections are to be held.
