After the notification of reservation of seats and wards of Mayor, President, Bharatiya Janata Party has stepped up the preparations for the civic elections. In this episode, a round of meetings goes on throughout the day in the BJP state office on Sunday. In the meeting held in the presence of State President Bhupendra Chaudhary, General Secretary (Organization) Dharampal and co-incharge Satyakumar, the strategy from booth management, candidate selection to winning it was discussed. On this occasion, the state president said that in order to win the local body elections, the party officials should choose winnable candidates leaving aside the attachment of their own and others. He said that we are also not promising to give ticket to anyone, so the office bearers should not give assurance of getting ticket to any claimant.

In the separate meetings held with regional, divisional and district in-charges and office bearers at the party’s state headquarters, the state president, while laying emphasis on preparations for the body elections by coordinating with the allies, said that booth committees, divisional committees and sector committees will be formed for the elections. The committees should be strengthened and all the castes of the area should be represented in these committees.

He said that the party body will contest the elections on the basis of the work done by the central and state government for public welfare and the policy of contact, dialogue, coordination, harmony and collectivity. From December 12 to 18, meetings will be held at the area and district level regarding organizational work and municipal elections.

State BJP President Mr. Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary said that the civic body elections being held before the Lok Sabha elections are important. That’s why get together to ensure the party’s victory in the body elections. He said that the notification for the civic body elections may be issued soon, so everyone should complete the preparations for the selection of the candidates for the post of mayor, municipality and panchayat president and councilor as per the plan of the organization. State General Secretary (Organization) Dharampal Singh while referring to the decisions taken in the meeting of national office bearers held in New Delhi last days, said that keeping in mind the Lok Sabha elections, we have to strengthen our organizational structure in the state and create strong Mandals, Saktrisyas. The structure of Booth Committee and Panna Pramukh and Panna Committee has to be strengthened. From the point of view of civic elections, the formation of ward committee and booth committee should be completed at the earliest.

State co-incharge Satya Kumar also addressed the office bearers in the meeting. All the officials including Govind Narayan Shukla, Laxman Acharya, Pankaj Singh, Vijay Bahadur Pathak, Kanta Kardam, Salil Vishnoi, Surendra Nagar, JPS Routhar were present in the meeting.

13 member team will be formed for mayor candidate selection
It was decided in the meeting that a 13-member screening committee would be formed. This committee will select the mayor, president of municipalities and town panchayats and councilor candidates. District president, district in-charge, MP, MLA, election convenor, body president and circle president and other local office bearers will be included in this committee. It has also been decided that a meeting of state office bearers of the district and area will be held once a week regarding the preparations for the civic elections.

Election steering committee will be formed in every body
It has also been decided in the meeting that for the successful conduct of the civic body elections, an election steering committee will be constituted at every civic body level. Along with this, workers’ conferences will also be organized at the body level. In the meeting, the committee related to the selection of the candidates has been told that the civic body elections may be announced sometime after December 15, so a panel of potential candidates should be prepared and sent to the state headquarters.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will now show his mettle in the civic elections to be held in the state. According to the campaign program prepared by the BJP’s state organization in view of the municipal elections, after December 13, the Chief Minister will churn all the municipal corporations and cities with large civic bodies. He will hold road shows as well as big meetings.
