Sameer Jain said, ‘The principles of non-violence that were awakened by the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, have their roots in the time of Mahavira and Buddha three thousand years ago. All our scriptures and books speak about non-violence. The basic nature of man is violence; But it kept on developing, that we have to walk in the direction of non-violence. Indian culture gives importance to peace rather than war and violence. The one who fights or wins in self-defense is called a hero; Only the one who wins the proposal of peace, you call him Mahavir. There is no war in the present times, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s bold advice was discussed all over the world. He gave the advice that Indian culture is the same. War has not been supported in ancient Indian tradition. India itself never supported the attack on the opposition. If there is an attack, then only you reply to it, it is your culture.’
Jain Yane or Veli gave examples of Mahabharata. ‘Akramanala should answer,’ said Shri Krishna to Arjunala. Krishna never taught us how to attack,’ he said. Underlining the difference between war and protection, Jain said, ‘In Britain, where the ministry dealing with war was called the Ministry of War, you would have been called the Ministry of Defense. Peace and non-violence would have been the identity of united India. The same identity would have been maintained from present day Bali to Afghanistan. Ahimsa is the womb of Jainism’s anekantavada. Every opinion, every debate and every thought has been considered worthy of many debates. Every approach, thought and every person is Vaav. Just like every person in the family has a fixed place. Mule, old, earning, non-earning, all such people are family. Similarly, there is a place for all philosophies and all religions in the nation. Teaching through mother tongue is very important. Modi government’s decision to start medical education in Hindi is very good. A person should express himself in the best way in his mother tongue. Importance should be given to all languages in the country.
‘Great united India roared’
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s idea of Akhand Mahabharata further expressed the need of realizing ‘Mahaakhand Bharat’ by Sameer Jain. ‘Akhand Bharat hai aata history has accumulated, aata aapko mahakhand Bharat banavaycha aahe,’ he said. Citing the example of Britain, Jain said, ‘Four hundred years ago, the British who were as big as Bihar resolved to become great and for four years they ruled the Jagavar kingdom. The past centuries would have been Britain’s; But the present century belongs to India,’ said Jain.
‘Spirituality, importance of Ayurveda’
Indian spirituality, culture, its classical music, dance and Ayurveda are currently popular all over the world. In many American hospitals and medical colleges, patients are taught yoga and meditation. These lessons are taken by spending one thousand dollars. Today the discussion of spirituality is continuously increasing in western countries. Gita, Ashtavakra, Yoga Vashishtha, Patanjali Sutras or Sarvancha are practiced there. The influence of Akhand Bharat or our culture is increasing,’ said Jain.
‘Fame is not achieved in a day’
Referring to the lines from former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s poem ‘Andhera Chhatega, Suraj Niklega, Kamal Khilega’, Sameer Jain said, ‘When Vajpayeeji spoke, Amit Shah started his political career at that time; But with his hard work and energy, he made Kamla’s supremacy flourish in all parts of the country. Fame does not come in a day. But, one day it will come for sure, yes we get faith by looking at Amit Shah.’
