Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) has submitted the investigation report of the representation of the students in the B.Tech admission forgery case before the High Court by the university’s advocate. Now further action will be taken on the instructions of the High Court.

The university administration had canceled the admission of 40 students after enquiry. After this 35 students took refuge in the High Court. On the instructions of the High Court, till January 31, students were given time to provide evidence. 31 students provided evidence. The inquiry committee of the University got the evidence examined and it was placed before the Academic Council.

After the approval of the Academic Council, before the hearing in the High Court on Tuesday, the advocate of the university administration submitted the investigation report. Registrar Dr. Jayaprakash told that the university will ensure further action on the instructions of the High Court.

35 students went to the High Court

In two different sessions, 40 students took admission in the university with the help of fake documents. The university canceled the admission of 22 students in 2020-21 and 18 in 2021-22. The Board of Management of the University canceled the admission of all these students on January 9, 2023 and constituted a three-member committee for investigation. Against this decision, 35 students took refuge in the High Court and during the hearing, the High Court gave relief to the students and gave them time till January 31 to provide documents to prove their innocence. A total of 31 students had provided evidence to the university. The inquiry committee constituted by the university got the evidence examined.
