A young man was shot dead by a miscreant near Barhalganj canal culvert of Chirayakot police station area in Mau late at 8.30 pm on Monday. The bullet hit the young man’s chest, he fled after completing the incident. On receiving the information, the police reached and brought the young man to the hospital. Where the doctors referred to Azamgarh seeing the serious condition. According to the information, Sunil Yadav, 43, son of Jaggi Yadav, a resident of Khodadadpur village of Jahanaganj police station in Azamgarh district, had come to Kharihani under Chirayakot police station area along with one of his companions. Where he was returning back to the village with one of his companions at around 8.30 pm. Now he had reached near Barhalganj Canal Pulia located on Kharihani Marg. Meanwhile, a miscreant stopped him and till he could understand something, he was targeted with holi stains. The bullet entered his chest. The miscreant fled after the incident. On the other hand, after the incident, the bike rider reached the police station with his injured companion in an injured condition. Where SO Rajesh Verma immediately sent him by government vehicle for Azamgarh treatment. On getting information about the incident, CO Muhammadabad Gohna Dr. Ajay Bikram Singh reached and started investigating the matter.
