Four bike-borne assailants attacked a young man with a knife after a mutual altercation near the liquor distillery located in Rampur Chakia village of Mau district at around 10 pm on Friday. After inflicting several stab wounds, the accused fled. On receiving information about the incident, the police took the injured to the district hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
According to the information, Vijay Bahadur alias Bablu (32), a resident of Rampur Chakia of Dakshin Tola area, was sitting near the liquor bhatti in the village late evening on Friday. Meanwhile, four bike-riding youths came, an argument broke out with those youths over some issue of Vijay Bahadur. On which the young man got down from the bike and made him bleed severely by stabbing him several times with a knife.
After this the youth riding the bike fled. As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot. With the help of the local people, the profuse youth was taken to the district hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared him brought dead. On getting information about the incident, Municipal Magistrate Dhananjay Mishra reached.
