The subsidy of 11,300 tube well consumers of Hathras may hang in the coming days. These days farmers are depositing half the bill. If the meter is not installed, the farmers will have to pay the full bill. So far 6374 people have got meters installed in the district.
Presently there are about 19 thousand tubewell consumers in the district. Issued an order to install meters to assess the consumption from the government level. Farmers are billed according to 175 horse power. Now the farmers of the district are paying half the bill. The special thing is that 11 thousand three hundred consumers of the district have not installed meters for tube wells.
If these consumers do not get meters installed, then their subsidy may hang. Executive Engineer Pramod Kushwaha says that 11300 consumers of the district are not getting meters installed. If the meter is not installed, then you will not get the benefit of subsidy. So far 6300 consumers have got meters installed.
