You will easily find this Biryani in every street of Kolkata. ‘Makhni Paneer Biryani’ is very tasty to eat and easy to make. So let’s know its recipe-

ingredients for rice

Oil – 1 tbsp

Green cardamom – 2

Cloves – 2

Bay leaf – 1

Cinnamon – 1

Rice – 350 grams

salt to taste

Ingredients for ‘Paneer Makhani’

Ghee – 3 tbsp

Paneer – 350 grams

salt to taste

Butter – 2 tbsp

Oil – 2 tbsp

Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp

Green chili – 1 tbsp

Onion – 100 grams

Tomato puree – 200 grams

Turmeric – 1/4 tsp

Red chili – 1/2 tsp

Coriander powder – 2 teaspoons

Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp

Cashew paste – 2 tbsp

Water – 250 ml

Fresh Cream – 2 tbsp

Garam masala – 2 teaspoons

Ingredients for Biryani

Ghee – 2 tbsp

Mint – 4-5

Roasted cashews – 10-12

Milk – 60 ml

Saffron – 1/2 tsp

  • First of all, put the pan on the gas and put 3 glasses of water, oil, green cardamom, cloves, bay leaves and cinnamon in it.
  • Then, put the washed rice in it and also add some salt. When the rice is half cooked, filter it and then take it out in a vessel.
  • Heat ghee in another pan and add paneer to it and fry it for a while. Then put some ghee or oil in the same pan, and add ginger, garlic paste, green chillies and onions and fry it for a while.
  • Then add tomato puree to it and fry for 3-4 minutes. After that add turmeric, red chili, coriander powder and salt and fry for some more time.
  • Now add cashew paste to it. Now put some water in it and cook till it starts boiling and then add paneer in it.
  • After stirring for a while, add cream and mix and also add garam masala and coriander leaves.
  • Now heat oil in a pan and add half cooked rice to it.
  • After that add curry leaves, coriander leaves, roasted cashews and fried onions.
  • Mix cheese and spread it all over. Mix saffron milk in it.
  • Then close it well with foil paper and then put a lid on it and cook for 10-12 minutes.
  • Your Makhani Paneer Biryani is ready. Serve it hot.
