Lucknow: In the Mainpuri Lok Sabha and Rampur and Khatauli assembly by-elections, Samajwadi Party (SP) MLAs protested against “misuse of government machinery, rising inflation and poor law and order” at Vidhan Bhavan complex. Gave a sit-in in front of Charan Singh’s statue. Amidst the uproar, the SP’s picketing continues. Heavy police force is deployed at the spot.
Before the start of the winter session of the Legislature, the SP MLAs raised slogans in their hands “Eat public money, scamsters run the government”, “BJP is unsuccessful, due to its works, public is troubled by rising prices”. Holding placards, they staged a sit-in protest in the Vidhan Bhavan premises. SP’s chief spokesperson Rajendra Chowdhary said, “Our MLAs have protested against the misuse of government machinery by the ruling BJP in the bypolls.” The administration is preventing people from voting.
