Now after the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the increasing closeness between Akhilesh and Shivpal has become a matter of discussion. The question is arising whether all the grievances between the two have gone away? Will Shivpal completely return to SP now? To understand this, we spoke to senior journalist Pramod Kumar Singh. He said, ‘Mainpuri’s by-election is a matter of prestige for the Yadav family. Since 1989, this seat has remained with Mulayam Singh Yadav and his close ones. In such a situation, if SP loses this seat due to his absence, it will send a big political message. Questions will also be raised on the leadership of Akhilesh Yadav. This is the reason why he wants to win this by-election at any cost.
Pramod further says, ‘Akhilesh knows that till now father Mulayam Singh Yadav has kept the whole family united. Even though there was a ruckus in the family and some people took a different path, but the whole family was always united in the name of Mulayam. Shivpal Singh Yadav also respected Mulayam. Now in his absence, Akhilesh needs someone who can keep the family united. No one can do this work except Shivpal Singh Yadav. This is the reason that after the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the distance between Akhilesh and Shivpal seems to be ending.
Pramod says, ‘Something similar was seen this time also just before the assembly elections. Shivpal was then included in the alliance by Akhilesh. However, then Akhilesh did not give ticket to anyone other than Shivpal from his party. After the elections, the tension between Akhilesh and Shivpal had also increased. In such a situation, it is also possible that only for the Mainpuri by-election, Akhilesh has reduced the distance with Shivpal and later again the relationship between the two may deteriorate.
According to Pramod, ‘Shivpal Singh Yadav will come back to SP only when he finds a respectable position. Shivpal himself has spoken about it many times. Its picture will be clear to a large extent after this by-election. It will also be known whether Shivpal will join SP again or his fight with Akhilesh will intensify further. However, right now he is definitely seen close to Akhilesh Yadav. Shivpal has also tried to express this through a tweet. While sharing a photo of himself with Akhilesh, he wrote that we are all Netaji, lo sab ho gaye ek….
