The number of dengue patients is increasing continuously. Eight new patients have been found in the investigation conducted on Sunday and Monday. Since then, the number of infected has reached 256 in the district. Two of them have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment when their condition is critical.
District Malaria Officer Agand Singh said that so far 162 infected have been found in the city and 94 in rural areas. One patient each was found in Basharatpur, Turkmanpur, Raiganj and Nakhas on Monday. Their ages are 30, 18, 25, 45 years respectively. On Sunday, one infected person each was confirmed in Nizampur, Ghasikatra, Alinagar and Daudpur.
Told that notices have been given to five houses after mosquito larvae were found. Along with this, strict instructions have been given that if dengue larvae are found in the test after a week, financial penalty will be imposed. Meanwhile, source reduction was done at 1,684 places.
