Differences in contesting elections in Aghadi

On the other hand, there is news of differences among the allies of Aghadi regarding fielding their candidates in these by-elections. There are reports that after NCP, Uddhav Thackeray’s army has also staked its claim on Chinchwad seat. Thackeray faction’s spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that we want to contest elections on Chinchwad seat. On the other hand, Ajit Pawar wants to field his candidate from NCP. This area is Pawar’s stronghold. This is the reason why they are staking their claim on this seat. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see what agreement is reached within the Aghadi to contest these seats.

Seat vacant due to death of these MLAs

These two seats have fallen vacant after the demise of BJP MLA Laxman Jagtap from Chinchwad seat in Pune and Mukta Tilak from Kasba Peth. After which the Central Election Commission has announced the by-elections on both the seats.

election date changed

The Central Election Commission has changed the date of polling for the by-elections to the Kasba and Chinchwad assembly seats. Now instead of 27 February, voting will be held a day earlier on 26 February. At the same time, the result will be announced on March 2. In fact, on February 27, the 12th examination has been conducted in these constituencies. In view of this, the date of polling has been changed.
