A bogie derailed while the goods train was setting up at the setting point of Nautanwan railway station on Gorakhpur-Nautanwan railway section. Due to which Durg Express had to be stopped at Gorakhpur itself. On Saturday morning, for the convenience of the passengers, a coaching rack was made and brought to Nautanwan railway station.
According to the information, a goods train carrying urea from Visakhapatnam arrived with urea at 8.40 pm on the ninth Friday. During setting to move to platform number four, a bogie of 11509 WCR BCNA number derailed from behind near the cross over at 9.45 pm on Saturday night. Due to this the railway route got affected.
A total of 1200 bags of urea were filled in the bogie, which was lowered down. The Durg Express coming to Nautanwan was stopped at Gorakhpur on Friday night. He was brought to Nautanwan on Saturday morning by making a coaching rack.
After getting information about the incident, the rescue vehicle ART from Gorakhpur station immediately reached the spot and engaged in relief work. The railway line has not yet been completely restored. Passengers had to be dropped outside the station itself. Station Superintendent Umakant Singh told that a bogie had derailed during the setting.
