New Delhi : The Delhi High Court on Friday issued an interim order banning Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s voice and photographs for illegal use. Amitabh Bachchan would have filed a petition alleging infringement of his ‘right to fame as a celebrity personality’ along with many other people running the ‘KBC Lottery’.

Amitabh Bachchan is the host of the famous reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC). Or the judge hearing the petition. Naveen Chawla said that Bachchan is a popular personality, without any doubt or if he is not comforted at this stage, he may suffer irreparable loss and defamation. At this time, the court gave instructions to the telecom authorities to take action against the websites that violate Bachchan’s rights. Telecom service providers would have been instructed to ‘block’ the telephone numbers broadcasting such messages.

Senior advocate Harish Salve said that the petition is not limited only to the boat owners, but also against known or unknown parties who have violated Bachchan’s fame rights. Apart from lotteries, he told that many works are going on in his name. T-shirts with his photograph are also being sold, he said.
