The government has become tough regarding the support of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and transfer of BJP leader Aparna Yadav’s mother Ambi Bisht. Six months ago, two zonal officers including him were transferred to other districts. However, even after this, they are still in the Lucknow Municipal Corporation. Now the Director Local Body has asked for the report of the matter and ordered the Municipal Commissioner to relieve them immediately.

Under the transfer policy, the government had transferred the officers posted at one place for three years to other districts. In this, Ambi Bisht was transferred to Nagar Palika Parishad Barabanki and Binno Abbas Rizvi to Ayodhya Municipal Corporation. Four more officers were transferred. The corporation administration relieved them of their duties, but the influential Ambi Bisht and Binno Abbas remained here. Binno has good relations with the higher officials.

Now Director Local Bodies Neha Sharma has issued an order to the Municipal Commissioner to immediately relieve Ambi Bisht and Binno Abbas from work to go on new posting. Along with this, a report has also been sought as to why he was not relieved even after issuing the transfer order on June 30.

Long stay in the capital
According to experts, both the zonal officers are influential. Due to this, Ambi Bisht stayed in LDA for a long time despite having served the civic body. He was transferred to the Municipal Corporation seven years ago. Meanwhile, once he was transferred out of Lucknow as well, which changed within a month. Since then he is in the Municipal Corporation only. Binno Abbas Rizvi also spent a lot of time in Lucknow. He was transferred to Barabanki about five years ago.
