Do not use free Wi-Fi at public places like railways, bus stations etc. Many times cyber criminals give this kind of hoax to make people victims. If you do this then your account can be empty. ADG Zone Premprakash said these things in the workshop organized on the subject of cyber crime. In the workshop organized at Amar Ujala office, the ADG gave detailed information on the methods of prevention from cyber crime. Told that if possible, use separate numbers for banking transactions and personal use. Never fall into the trap of loans, lotteries, increasing credit limits, etc.

UPI PIN is for payment and not for receiving amount. In such a situation, never scan the QR code. Do not click on unknown links. The link may redirect you to the payment gateway. Apart from this, cyber thugs also send encrypted pictures. Remote app can be installed in mobile as soon as these pictures are clicked.

Cyber criminals use these methods
Debit/Credit Card, UPI Pin, QR Code, KYC Update, Refund, Customer Care Number, Electricity Bill, Customer Care etc.

take care of this too
On the pretext of instant loan, cyber thugs install remote app and take screen access. After this, personal information like name, address, date of birth etc. is known by asking to fill the form in the name of the application.
Schools make people victims by creating websites similar to the original website in the name of restaurants. They cheat people by changing one or two letters in the website.
On opening any website, first check its URL. The first thing in the URL bar is https then you are safe. Be alert if this does not happen.
Never give the card to others while making payment from POS machine. Enter the password yourself.
– Do not download from the app link, use the Play Store or the company’s authorized app store only.
– If you are giving ID proof to someone, then definitely write ‘Used for only…’ in it.

Cyber affairs expert Hasan Zaidi said that in the current era even children have mobiles in their hands and in such a situation they can be a soft target for cyber criminals. Not only online gaming, they are also made victims of violence and child pornography and blackmailing through the app. Due to fear, they are not able to tell anything to their parents, in such a situation they keep getting trapped and many times they also take wrong steps. In such a situation, definitely check the web surfing history of the children. Cyber army should be formed in schools. Only children should be included in this and oath should be taken from them. Along with this, they should be motivated to make other children aware as well.
