LDA and district administration have identified 1100 acres of land for three new industrial areas for entrepreneurs investing in Lucknow during the Investors Summit. It is estimated that eight thousand small and big industrial units will be set up on these. This will provide employment to about two lakh people.
National Secretary of Indian Industries Association (IIA) Awadhesh Kumar Aggarwal said that 200, 400 and 500 acres of land have been identified for new industrial areas. The administration has not yet shared information about the marked land with the association. However, it is expected that these industrial areas will be developed near Mohanlalganj, Agra Expressway and Outer Ring Road (near Sarojininagar industrial area). Aggarwal also told that the administration will not announce the land earmarked for industrial areas as soon as this happens, the farmers will increase the price of the land.

Units can be set up in 1500 to 10 thousand square feet
Entrepreneurs told that 1500 to 10 thousand square feet of land is required to set up units. Small unit 1500 and large unit 5000 to 10,000 square feet of land can be easily installed. Small units increase the industry by making the premises multi-storeyed. There is 43,560 square feet of land in one acre. In this situation, the entrepreneurs estimate that more than 8000 small and big production units will be established in 1100 acres of land.
You will have to buy land yourself, the government will provide facilities
Awadhesh Kumar Aggarwal said that in several rounds of talks with the administrative officers, it was also learned that the entrepreneurs would have to buy land themselves in the designated area. The government will provide all the facilities for setting up industries. He told that the administration will acquire land from farmers, develop it and sell it to entrepreneurs. In such a situation, they will have to pay a higher price.
Special permission for Dalit farmer’s land
If the land of a Dalit farmer comes in the middle of the land that has been earmarked for the industry, the district administration will give special permission to buy that too. At the same time, in lieu of the land of the village society, land will be provided to the concerned at another place. The government will provide electricity to new industrial areas through 132 KV transmission and 33 KV sub-station. Along with this, roads and sewers will be constructed. However, while taking the connection, the entrepreneur will have to construct 33 KV and 11 KV lines at his own cost.
25 workers will get livelihood from one unit
Provincial Industries Association Lucknow Unit President Dinesh Goswami said that on an average, 25 workers will get employment with the establishment of a new industrial unit. Although 10 workers get employment in a small unit and 75 in a big one, but most of the medium class units will be established in the new areas. On the other hand, National Secretary of IIA Surya Prakash Havelia said that electricity is very expensive in UP compared to other states. He has demanded Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to make industrial electricity cheaper. Industrial electricity in UP averages Rs 9.50 per unit. In Chhattisgarh it is Rs 7.50 per unit.
