The district administration swung into action after the death of five children due to vomiting, diarrhea and fever in Mohalla Saraiya of Mohammadi in Lakhimpur Kheri. For the last several days, people from health to tehsil and municipality administration are visiting the locality and getting the children vaccinated with cleanliness. So far, samples of 231 people were taken and 172 people were tested, which remained negative. On the other hand, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has besieged the BJP government over the death of the children.

SP chief’s tweet on the death of children

Former CM and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has tweeted about the death of five children in Mohalla Saraiya of Mohammadi town. He has written that the news of death of five children and illness of nine is sad. He has written that it is a serious matter of self-criticism for the BJP government which is not able to fulfill the basic need like drinking water, not of criticism by the opposition.

CMO, District Immune Officer Dr. Anil Kumar Gupta, SDM Pankaj Srivastava and EO Gunjan Gupta reached Mohalla Saraiya on Monday. Health Department teams went door to door taking information about sick children and instructed them to keep cleanliness.
