Girls will get great consolation; Girl students will get permission during menstruation A to Z Counsel

Kerala: The Government of Kerala has taken an important and commendable construction for the girl students. It has been decided to grant period leave to the girl students pursuing higher studies coming to the state from unaccredited universities.

Cochin University would have taken a decision earlier to give menstrual leave to the girl students studying in its institution. It would have been difficult for the students to decide whether to get rest during menstruation or not. Also, the girl students have been given recognition for giving two percent additional suits. Against this backdrop, Kerala’s Higher Education Minister R. Bindu has decided to give period leave to girl students of state government schools.

The mental and physical trauma caused to a girl student during menstruation is intolerable. Therefore, all the universities should give proper leave to the students during menstruation period, as Higher Education Minister R. Bindu wrote in his Facebook post. Also, Kerala will be the first state to give leave to girl students during menstruation.

In the meantime, the Student Union of the Student Federation of India would have demanded that the female students studying at Cochin University be allowed to have periods. After 11th January, it has been decided to give two more percent relaxation to the students absent in each session.
