In such a situation, you have to complain to the presiding officer present at the polling station. The Presiding Officer will do a complete check of the documents related to you. It will be checked whether what you have claimed is correct? If your claim is found correct, then the presiding officer can get your tender vote cast through ballot paper. If your claim turns out to be false, you can be handed over to the police on charges of forgery.
Elections in six states today
Along with the second and last phase of the Gujarat assembly elections, by-elections are also to be held in six assembly and one Lok Sabha seats in five states today. The five states where assembly bypolls are to be held include Rampur Sadar and Khatauli in Uttar Pradesh, Padampur in Odisha, Sardarshahar in Rajasthan, Kurhani in Bihar and Bhanupratappur in Chhattisgarh.
