Arrival in India;  12 leopards from South Africa in special orbit since July


Bhopal : Eight chittas brought to India from Namibia and 12 more chittas from South Africa are waiting to be brought to India. But, due to not being able to fulfill the official agreement regarding this, the scars that have been there since four months are tattered. Living without separation for a long time has its consequences on the body of the mind.

Wildlife experts are expressing concern that living in isolation away from the forest has adverse effects on the nature of the chittas. Chittayanpathopath, which was brought from Namibia to Kuno Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh in September, 12 chittahi are waiting for their arrival in Kuno. This matter has come to the fore in the last few days, the real way is to make an agreement with the Government of India.

Presently seven male and five female cheetahs are waiting to return to India and they have been kept in special rooms since 15th July. Since then, since he has not hunted a single victim, fear is being expressed of his potential consequences. The agreement for the transfer of cheetahs was approved by the Ministry of Environment of South Africa last week and will be given final shape by the coming president and after that both the countries will agree.

‘ready to welcome’

South African detachments used to come to Kuno in September to observe the arrangements of the Chittas. After that he expressed the solution. But, only then there is a huge delay. An agreement is expected to be signed in the coming month, such information was given by the experts. And India is ready to welcome the new Chittas, says Madhya Pradesh Chief Conservator of Forests J. s. Chauhan said. Soon the agreement regarding this will be completed, he said.

‘It is important to face the bullies’

Wildlife expert Ajay Dubey has said that it is necessary for the tigers to be sharp and competent, keeping in mind the tigers of the Kunocha forest. Presently there are 1200 Chowkimir Pasarlayya Kuno Sanctuary 70 to 80 biblyanwa wavar ahe. And the chittas coming from South Africa have grown only in the forests inhabited by bibalyas.
