Kaushambi: Husband upset over doctors’ refusal for normal delivery, delivery took place in the bus while taking home A to Z Counsel

After having two normal deliveries, a young man got upset with the SRN personnel for giving birth to the third child through normal delivery. The hospital personnel advised to deliver through operation, but the husband started going home by roadways bus with his wife, asking for delivery in a private hospital. Meanwhile, on the way due to labor pain, the woman gave birth to a child in the bus itself.

Atul Kumar, a resident of Ramuva village of Fatehpur district, does a private job in Prayagraj. Wife Shalu (23) was pregnant. She lives in the village with other family members, while Atul lives in Prayagraj. On Thursday, Atul was taken to SRN Hospital in Prayagraj to show his wife. Atul says that the doctors in the hospital said that Shalu is anemic. Asked to arrange two units of blood.

He gave one unit of blood. After this, one more unit of blood was needed, but no blood donor was found for this. Even in the hospital, the doctors and staff were requested for help, but no arrangements could be made. He alleges that after wandering here and there for a long time, he and his pregnant wife were finally asked to go home from the hospital.

Desperate, Atul left the hospital with his wife and took a roadways bus from Civil Lines to Fatehpur. The bus had reached near Kasia in Kokhraj, when suddenly the woman started having labor pains. Women passengers came forward to help the pregnant woman. On information, female employees of a private hospital delivered the woman in the bus itself. She gave birth to a son. After this, the child was taken to a private hospital in Kasia itself.

In this context, Dr. Amrita Chaurasia, Head of Gynecology Department of SRN Hospital, told that it was necessary to perform the operation when the condition of the pregnant woman was critical. On getting the information, the husband started insisting on normal delivery. He also started quarreling with the hospital staff regarding this matter. He said that when the first two children became normal, he would not get the operation done this time.

On being told about the risk of life in normal delivery, the woman’s husband started talking about taking her at his own risk. Husband Atul said that he will deliver in a private hospital. He has also given this thing in writing. On the other hand, on the question of not getting blood, it has to be said that many attendants talked about donating blood, but the husband did not want to get the delivery done through operation.

On the other hand, on behalf of the hospital administration, Dr. Amrita Chaurasia, Head of the Department of Gynecology, said that it became necessary to perform the operation when the condition of the pregnant woman was critical.
