Labor and hard work have contributed a lot behind the success of the meritorious students who were awarded gold medals at the convocation ceremony in Kashi Vidyapeeth. Some were the daughter of a farmer and some were the son of a bus driver. There were also many daughters whose father, uncle and aunt insisted on not having a mother. Conversation with some meritorious students who didn’t even refrain from delivering milk to other’s homes for their studies.
Studying with selling milk, now got gold medal
Jamuna Yadav, a student of Kashi Vidyapeeth, used to work as a milkmaid to finance her studies. Used to go to regular classes after delivering milk to people’s homes. Received gold by securing the highest marks in MA in Sociology at the convocation on Saturday. Jamuna’s father Lalji used to drive a car in Mumbai before, after leaving his job in Corona, he started driving a bus in a private school. Mother Tara Devi along with Jamuna cultivated and nurtured the rest of the children. Jamuna used to study hard in the spare time after work. He is the first member in his family to do Gold Medal and Masters. He fell ill due to brain fever at the time of tenth board examination. He had to leave the exam midway. However, in front of the courage, difficulties left them behind. Jamuna has also passed TET and CTET along with B.Ed. His dream now is to complete his research and become a professor.

Farmer’s daughter won gold by plowing

Mirzapur’s daughter Rupa Maurya, who won gold in graduation psychology, has brought laurels to the family by securing the highest marks. Roopa is the first daughter in her family to have won a gold medal. Father Kedarnath is a farmer, working on his family’s small land, he got his children’s education done with the money he got. Used to study while working with father and mother by plowing the field. Roopa says that despite the financial condition of the house not being good, she completed her studies in the circumstances. She has never done any tuition or coaching till date and has been persistent towards studies. Roopa’s dream is to become a teacher. Told that father and mother are the biggest deserving of this respect.

Tears shed after fulfilling father’s dreams
Tears of joy were visible in the eyes of Shrinkhala Dubey, who won the gold medal by securing the highest marks in Geography. To say that the mother’s company was left 18 years ago, but the father never let the mother feel the absence. Father Amul Kumar Dubey is a farmer in Mirzapur, but he made every effort for his daughter’s education. For the education of his daughter, he sent her from Mirzapur to Banaras. Staying here with uncle Abhishek Dubey and grandmother Manorama Dubey, Shrinkhala worked to give color to father’s dreams. The series tells that aunt was a teacher, she helped me a lot in my education in my childhood. Shrinkhala’s dream now is to become a professor after PhD.
