Negligence of cell tax officials on Maharajpur Highway in Kanpur took the life of a student. The cell tax team tried to stop the truck going to Fatehpur in the middle of the road near Purvamir located at Kanpur border. To escape, the truck driver fled the vehicle. On which the truck ran away crushing the bike riders going ahead. The student driving the bike died on the spot, the fellow is seriously injured.
After the incident, the cell tax officials fled from the spot. Eyewitnesses told that at eight o’clock on Wednesday morning near the MGA College located at Purwamir border of Maharajpur, the cell tax team was forcibly stopping the vehicles going towards Fatehpur on the middle road with sticks. Then a truck appeared and the team signaled to stop.
The truck driver ran the car to escape. The truck driver hit the youth riding the bike ahead. Bike driver Nikhil Shukla (20), a resident of Naubasta, came under the truck. Due to which Nikhil died painfully on the spot. His partner Aditya Sharma was seriously injured. Who has been admitted to CHC Sarsaul. The deceased youth Nikhil was a BA final year student at SJ College Ramaipur Bidhanu. Police admitted the injured partner to CHC Sarsaul. Purvamir outpost incharge Amit Sharma told that the accident happened due to the negligence of the cell tax team. Is being investigated.
