The father shot dead his son with a licensed double gun in an ongoing dispute over the distribution of property and farming in Saraiya village of Shivli area in Kanpur Dehat. Due to the death of the young man in the verandah of the house, there was chaos among the family members. After getting the information, several officers including SP BBGTS Murthy reached the spot and investigated.
During the investigation, the police found the gun used in the crime in a nearby field. The police is looking for the murderer’s father. Devendra Singh, a resident of Saraiya village, does farming. His elder son Raghupal Singh alias Monu (35) also used to do farming with his father. It is said that Raghupal was demanding his share in the property and fields from his father. There was a tussle between father and son regarding this for many days. On Monday night, there was a dispute with Raghupal Singh’s father Devendra on the matter of distribution of property and farming.
