  • The ministry gave approval for land acquisition a month ago, but the work has not started

Nagpur, Senior officials are also not serious about the projects which contribute significantly to the development of the city. They are not showing any interest in resuming the work of the longest flyover being built on Kamathi Road. Due to non-acquisition of only 2370.62 square meters of land, its work has been stopped for 8-9 months due to which people are facing huge problems. Now that the Urban Development Ministry of the State Government has given approval for land editing a month ago i.e. on January 25, even after that the work of editing has not started.

Be it Union Minister Nitin Gadkari or Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, both are very serious about development. They want the project to be completed on time, but the officials are keeping the key files on hold for a month or so.

LIC CHOWK FLYOVER

The order was issued on January 25 with the signature of Devdutt Rahane. This approval was awaited for a long time. The file kept going from Nagpur-Mumbai several times. The Deputy Chief Minister himself made efforts and helped in taking the file forward. Now that the approval has been received a month back, yet the officials are not in favor of starting the work. The project is getting delayed, the danger of cost overrun is also looming large. The biggest thing is that everyday thousands of people are coming and going by keeping their lives in their hands. Even after all this, the officials are sitting confused on the ‘sanction order’. Had the land reclamation work started as soon as the approval was received, the work could definitely have been expedited, but this is not happening.
