welfare: A video of a traffic police inspector taking bribe in Kalyan is going viral, causing panic in the police department. The incident is of Chakkinaka in Kalyan East. In the video, the sub-inspector is clearly visible taking the bribe. The name of this police officer is being told as Navnath Mirwane, who is working as a sub-inspector in the traffic department of Kalyan East.
According to the information received, in case of violation of traffic rules by a rickshaw driver near Chakkinaka, Sub Inspector Mirwane demanded direct money from the rickshaw driver instead of taking penalty. The rickshaw puller was giving Rs 100, but the traffic police officer demanded Rs 500. In the end, sub-inspector Mirwane released the rickshaw puller after taking a bribe of Rs 200.
Officers took action, got suspended
This video of bribery was shot in a mobile phone which is now going viral on social media. After the video went viral, senior officials of the department took cognizance and he was suspended with immediate effect, which was informed by Ravindra Kshirsagar, senior PI of the traffic department.

Traffic wardens did not get honorarium for four months
On the other hand, the traffic wardens of Kalyan, who work with the traffic police throughout the day in the scorching sun, have not received their honorarium for four months. Due to which it has become difficult to bear the burden of the family. Wardens assist the traffic police to run the city’s traffic system smoothly. For this, they are given an honorarium of 5 to 6 thousand rupees by KDMC. KDMC administration has appointed 75 to 80 wardens. These traffic wardens, appointed to assist the traffic police in smoothening the traffic, have not received the honorarium given to the welfare wardens for the last four months. On the condition of anonymity, a warden told that we stand on the road and do duty for 12 hours. In return for which KDMC gives only 5 thousand rupees, but nothing has been received for the last 4 months. The said warden also said that the KDMC administration has ever thought that in this era of inflation, how the family will run in five thousand rupees.
