Indira Marathon 2022: Sher Singh of Jaipur wins Indira Marathon, Vikram of Maharashtra second

Sher Singh of Jaipur won the Akhil Bharti Indira Marathon Competition, Vikram Bangaria of Maharashtra stood second and Anil Kumar of Prayagraj stood third.

All India Indira Marathon Competition has started. Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Youth Welfare and Sports, Independent Charge, Girish Chand Yadav inaugurated the competition by showing the green flag in front of Anand Bhavan. For the 41 kilometer long competition, the runners have reached the civil line roadways through various routes of the city.

Before this, Minister of State for Sports Girish Chandra Yadav flagged off the 37th Indira Marathon.

Minister of State for Sports Girish Chandra Yadav flagged off the 37th Indira Go Marathon. A total of 419 runners are participating in the marathon, including 336 men and 83 women. Before flagging off the marathon, the Minister of State for Sports garlanded the portrait of Indira Gandhi and bowed down to her and wished the winners.

Starting from Indira Bhawan, the marathon will pass through Swaraj Bhawan, Allahabad University, Red Eagle Army Stadium, AG Office, High Court Square, Subhash Square, Hanuman Mandir Square, Medical College Square, KP College Square and enter the new bridge. From the new bridge, the runners will go towards Rewa Road, from where they will have to come back to the city from Dandupur petrol tank. Yadav will go inside the main gate of Chandrashekhar Azad Park and end at Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium. Where the Minister of State for Sports will honor the winners.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the marathon, apart from the Minister of State for Sports, Sports Director Uttar Pradesh RP Singh, District Magistrate Sanjay Kumar Khatri, Regional Sports Officer Vimla Singh, Devi Prasad and many others were present.
