Institutional delivery will get a boost

Specialists posted at district level hospitals can be called on-call in rural FRU units as well as specialists posted in rural FRUs can be called on-call for caesarean delivery at district level hospitals. The CMO will obtain consent letters from experts willing to work on call in all the state FRU health units of the district. They will be associated with the District Health Committee. The experts selected in this panel may be given an opportunity to select one or more FRU units.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that the system of caesareans in FRU units will reduce the pressure of patients in big hospitals.
