A seven-day training program has been organized in the Pharmaceutical Department of IIT BHU from 29 November to 5 December to identify and progress diseases like cancer and HIV. 31 participants and 9 experts have participated in it.
AN Sahu, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical IIT BHU told that this is a seminar based on cancer disease. In this, live training will be given with the help of ICT Mumbai through flow cytometry machine purchased by the Department of Pharmaceuticals. The program will be organized daily in two phases. In which in the first phase all the participants will do expert talk with the experts and in the second phase they will be given live training in the machine. Symptoms of cancer and normal cell lines will be studied in the training.
In which diseases like cancer can be identified and their progress can be traced. Apart from this, these participants from outside will also be introduced to the culture of Varanasi through the lab set up at the Central Instrument Faculty of BHU. On Tuesday, the program started with Saraswati Vandana. This was followed by an expert talk in the main lecture theater of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, IIT BHU. In this, Prof. Sushant Kumar Srivastava gave his lecture. In the program, the HOD of the Pharmaceutical Department of IIT BHU, Prof. S. Hemlata, Dr. Jairam Meena, Jai Deep Bhatt, Program Head, ICT Mumbai and faculty members were present.
